Saving Animals & Finding Homes

Hearts4Paws Animal Rescue is a non-profit network of volunteers based in Stratford, Ontario. Our love for animals inspires us to provide help rehoming cats in emergency surrender situations – in particular, senior cats at risk of being euthanized due to impending homelessness.
While other organizations have wait lists or take in only strays, Hearts4paws Animal Rescue helps older cats in emergency situations, when their owners can no longer care for them. With our strong network of connections, resources and social media, in most cases we are able to find a new home for a cat even before he / she has to be surrendered.
On our Stratford Animal Community Support Group facebook page, we have supported rehoming and fostering of cats, dogs and all types of domestic animals since 2010.
We partner with other animal rescue organizations, charities and businesses like Alley Cat Cafe in Stratford, which also help us with fostering and facilitating adoptions. Each year, we host a variety of fundraisers to support other local animal charities and organizations, including Feline Friends Network of Stratford.

Thank you for your support. Any donations of supplies is always appreciated.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Hearts4Paws Animal Rescue works to ensure that no cat becomes homeless as a result of an emergency experienced by its owner. Sudden hospitalization, a move to long-term care, or any other life crisis can mean that a cat may no longer be cared for in the home he / she has known and loved. Sometimes, especially in the case of a senior cat, the cat might be at risk of euthanization because it can be difficult to find a new forever home. Hearts4Paws intervenes in such cases, fostering and rehoming cats in emergency surrender situations.
